Fisting. Fist fucking. Hand sex.
Whatever you want to call it, it’s sex. And when it occurs between two consenting, enthusiastic adults, I (or anyone) should be able to see it in my porno if I want to.
Courtney Trouble and Jiz Lee can speak far more eloquently on this subject than I can, and I insist that you go read what they have to say. Now. I’ll wait. I won’t even be mad if it takes you a while to get back.
Back? Good. It’s time for me to let you in on a little secret.
I’ve never been fisted. Not once. Why? Well, in the past I have been misininformed, ashamed of my sexuality, and generally not quite as awesome and open to new experiences as I am now.
So, to celebrate International Fisting Day…I’m still not getting fisted. Nor am I doing any fisting. I am, however, talking about fisting.
There is a lot of misinformation and misconceptions that surround the practice of fisting.
For starters, fisting should not be painful. You’ve got to do it right, kids. When we say fisting, people think force, pain. That’s not how it should go down. Fisting requires patience and communication…and that’s part of its appeal, for me. Oh, it also requires lube. A fucking lot of it.
Fisting will not ruin my (or your) vagina. I will not forever need to be fucked by a fist in order to enjoy sex. Vaginas are magic. And elastic. They tend to bounce back from things…like pushing out 8 lb babies. Oh, and having large objects thrust inside them. My favorite response to the whole “I don’t want a loose floppy vag” argument compares fisting the vagina to yoga. When one does yoga, all of that stretching aids in strengthening and toning muscles. It takes a fuck ton of muscle control to relax and accommodate a whole hand in your cooch…and all of that work helps strengthen and tone your PC muscles.
